RPSI "The Shannon" & "The Boyle" Sun 13th March 2016
Take a trip to view the mighty River Shannon with a journey along the Royal Canal to Mullingar, then past majestic Lough Owel to Longford and Carrick on Shannon. Spend some time relaxing in scenic Carrick, or maybe extend your steam journey to Boyle.
That was the blurb. Unfortunately due to low water pressure at Mulingar on the outward run the RPSI Spl. lost its path and ended up arriving back to Connolly just short of three hours late.
Nevertheless it was still an enjoyable day out.
