On Saturday 16th December the RPSI operated their final Santa Steam Spls of 2006. For the final trip to Maynooth (1607 ex Pearse and 1730 ex Maynooth) I popped along to Pearse station to see a little bit of history been made, the final passenger runs of IE owned 3185 & 1510.

3185 is destined for a nice retirement with the RPSI however 1510 is destined for a date with the Inchicore Devil aka the scrapman.

After 43 Years of sterling service to the railways of Ireland Cravens and Steam heating finally bow out of everyday use.
