June 2011
The first update for June 2011 features:
- The return of the exiled three. The three vehicles from set 22037 sent to Scotland for repairs returned to Ireland on Friday 3rd June 2011. They are seen the following day at Heuston.
- A visit to Belfast on Sunday 5th June 2011 with Stormont and Hilden featured.
- A Tuesday evening in Co. Kildare to see the Autoballasters. They eventually turned up over two hours late just as it was getting dark.
- Wednesday evening features 071 on the 1655 Ballina - Westport Timber train.
The 2nd update from the 10th June 2011 features two unusual movements. The first was 072 hauling failed 073 plus two timber wagons from Limerick to Inchicore, while the 2nd unusual movement was 229 finding itself on very mundane duties hauling failed Tamper 738 from Limerick Jct to Kildare. Both trains were photographed passing Portlaoise.
The final picture from today is 076 working the 1655 Westport - Waterford Timber crossing the Barrow Bridge at Monastervin.
Photos from Saturday 11th June are of a per way train theme with 073 on the North Wall - Portlaoise Barytes train and 075 on the Belview Port - Portlaoise Steel Train.
A small update for Monday 13th June sees MKIV 4006 + 220 operating a private charter from Cork to Heuston plus a couple of ICR set passing Cherryville Jct.
The weekend of 18 and 19th June were spent in Killarney and there is a large selction of pictures from between Rathmore and Farranfore over the course of the weekend.
Wednesday 22nd June was a varied day with some pictures from Heuston in the morning, 082 rolling past Portarlington at lunchtime with a per-way train to Portlaoise while later that evening 083 was photographed passing Clara with the 1655 Ballina - Waterford Timber.
