The day with all the 12's in the date shall be remember as a bad one for the MKIV fleet. One of several issues to affect the fleet today was a defect with the nominated set 4001 for the 1800 Heuston - Cork, which was in Inchicore. Sets were stepped up in Heuston which meant no ICR set available for the 1840 to Portlaoise. The defective MKIV was repaired in time for the 1840 departure and worked this to Portlaoise before returning empty to Heuston. 229 is seen at Portarlington en route to Portlaoise. Wed 12.12.12
