Wednesday 2nd October 2013:
The clock has just struck midnight at Heuston Station for a picture of 22008. It had just arrived with the delayed 2225 Portlaoise - Heuston service.

Tuesday 8th October 2013:
A stop off at Carn while on the way home for the 1730 Portlaoise - Heuston, 1700 Heuston - Cork and 1705 Heuston - Tralee.
Friday 11th October 2013:
While on the Road from Laois to Killarney a stop off at Farranfore for 22057 on the 1505 Tralee - Mallow.
Saturday 12th October 2013:
Due to Engineering Works at Charleville on Saturday 12th October 2013, an amended timetable was in operation on the Mallow - Tralee line. This timetable required three trains to operate it, compared to the normal two.
Monday 14th October 2013:
During the 2nd week of October 22021, 22022 and 22041 were all reformed at Laois Train Care Depot with 22041 losing vehicles 22641 to 22021 and 22741 to 22022. The first 4 car unit entered traffic on Monday 14th October 2013 with 22021 working the 0645 Portlaoise - Heuston, 0800 Heuston - Cork & 1120 Cork - Heuston services.
Tuesday 15th October 2013:
A stop off at Carn for 15 minutes during the evening time.
Thursday 17th October 2013:
In preparation for the October Bank Holiday weekend resignalling project in the "Dublin North" Interlocking a Connolly Driver was passed out on the Howth Branch on Thursday 17th October. 29011 was used for the driver passing out and "L.G." was on hand at Howth to record the first 29000 Class on the branch.
Saturday 19th October 2013:
An afternoon visit to Stacummy Bridge, near Hazelhatch.
Sunday 20th October 2013:
Photos from Dundalk & the Egyptian Arch at Newry of the RPSI's "Across the Tracks" charter from Dundalk to Whitehead RPSI. Later in the day, a visit to Laytown for 29016, 077 and (8)208. Finally later on in the day I spent an hour at Dublin Airport.
Monday 28th October 2013:
The October Bank Holiday Monday saw me venture out to Killenard for some afternoon services to/from Heuston, including 7 car 22045 + 22052 on the 1445 Heuston - Westport. Later on I went to Killenard for the 1510 Heuston - Waterford & 1450 Waterford - Heuston services. The final stop of the day was Cloney for the 1105 Ballina - Waterford Timber which had 074 at the helm.
Wednesday 30th October 2013:
Two hours spent in Heuston this morning photograhing the morning peak arrivals and the 0935 North Wall - Ballina IWT Liner. Highlights Include:
- The final High Capacity set, 22044 arriving at Heuston before its last trip to Laois Depot for conversion.
- Various 4 car ICR's.
- 220 0935 North Wall - Ballina IWT Liner.
- 6 Car Premier Class ICR Sets, soon to disappear from the network.
Thursday 31st October 2013:
The final update for October 2013 is a lunchtime trip to Rosskelton for the 1300 Heuston - Cork (222) and 1220 Cork - Heuston (4 car 22000, no. 22030).
