Saturday 6th August 2016:
Belmond Grand Hibernian liveried 216 was used on the 0935 North Wall - Ballina IWT Liner. This was the first run of the loco on the mainline since repainting into Belmond livery. It still requires branding to be applied.
Also pictured were the two Mayo Specials to Heuston for the Mayo - Tyrone Match in Croke Park, Dublin.
Sunday 7th August 2016:
A flying visit to Dun-Laoghaire to photograph 461 passing with the Dublin Riveria Spl. from Connolly to Greystones (See RPSI Dublin Riveria gallery in the Railtour section).
Monday 8th August 2016:
Popped out to photograph 075 on the Waterford to Ballina Ety. Timber at Shanderry.
Wednesday 10th August 2016:
The Belmond Grand Hibernian train took to the rails during the early hours of Wednesday 10th August when it worked a 0025 Heuston - Mallow Trial Train. The trial passed Portarlington at 0246, 86 minutes late. The train was delayed due to a late departure from Inchicore to Heuston.

A trip to Mallow and Heuston to see the Belmond Grand Hibernian.
Saturday 13th August 2016:
Pictures from a trip to Nenagh on the morning branch service. Then a mad dash from Nenagh to Athlone to capture 071 on the 0935 North Wall - Ballina IWT Liner. Very thankful to my afternoon traveling companion for the short notice change of plan. The final picture from today is at Shannonbridge Bord na Mona.
Monday 15th August 2016:
Pictures of the Belmond Trial to Cork at Clonkeen. Then later that day I was Killarney bound myself with images from Portlaoise, Thurles, Cork (more Belmond), Mallow, Rathmore and Killarney.
Tuesday 16th August 2016:
The Belmond Grand Hibernian visited Killarney on trials.
Wednesday 17th August 2016:
After heading to Killarney yesterday for the Belmond Grand Hibernian, this morning I headed back to Portlaoise on board the "Early bird" train from Killarney. Also some more images of the Belmond Grand Hibernian coming back from Westport.

A visit to Carn Bridge, Ballykillane and Portarlington during the evening sunshine.
Thursday 25th August 2016:
A quick trip to Clonkeen to photo the Belmond Grand Hibernian which was working from Charleville to Galway via Portarlington. Plus a contributed photograph of the train crossing the River Shannon at Athlone.

Saturday 26th August 2016:
Barry Pickup was on hand to capture some scenes at Malahide after the 1120 Dublin Connolly - Belfast Central Enterprise service failed.
Monday 29th August 2016:
A lunchtime trip to Monasterevin to capture the Belmond Grand Hibernian Trial from Portarlington to Inchicore. The train later operated a 2nd trial to Portarlington departing at 1955.
Wednesday 31st August 2016:
A quick visit to Portarlington PWD yard on Wednesday evening which had three trains stabled in it.
