2021: A year in review
Welcome to the 2021: A Year in Review Gallery.
Well 2021 was certainly a poor year for the railway enthusiast hobby with no major events or railtours operated by the RPSI in the Republic of Ireland. Due to working from home for the most of 2021, my travels were limited and as a result the year in review contains just over 150 photos.
The only positive events of the year was the opening of Pelletstown Station on the Dublin Maynooth Line, continued renewal of the Nenagh Branch and the continued progress of the development of a heritage railway at Maam Cross in Co. Galway.
Enjoy the gallery and we can only hope that 2022 turns out to be less crap than 2020 and 2021!
Some website statistics from the year:
Number of photos published in 2021 to the website: 2,542.

Most popular gallery for 2021: June 2021.
Where users come from: Social media (33%), Organic (27%), Referral (8%) and Directly (32%).
How do you view the website? Desktop (33%), Mobile (61%) & Tablet (5%).
Happy New Year and thank you for viewing The Wanderer's Photos.

On Tuesday 2nd March 2021, a CWR train operated over the Nenagh Branch to drop strings of rails between the 25 1/2 & 26 1/2 MP for forthcoming relaying works. The train left Portlaoise PWD Yard at 0810 and operated to Lisduff with 201 class locomotive No. 207.
As the 201's can only operate the branch in an emergency, 207 was left at Lisduff and 078 worked the train forward from there. Here we see 078 at Ballygibbon near the 25 MP about to enter the worksite. Tues 02.03.21
