UK Trip: Sunday 10th June 2012
Day 5 of the UK trip had to be replanned at rather short notice from my orginal plan but it worked out very well.
After getting the 90 bus from Hatton Cross to Hayes and Harlington the first train I saw passing the station was "Super Tug" 60015 passing through the station with a Tanker Train. Then it was time to head on to Reading onboard a Networker Turbo before catching a HST to Cheltenham Spa.
From Cheltenham I headed North to Birmingham New Street where I didn't hang around for long, catching a XC Turbostar to Tamworth for a 60 minutes break. An enjoyable hour was spent at Tamworth observing the traffic on the West Coast Main Line before I headed to Derby and then East Midlands Parkway for a East Midlands Trains HST back to London St. Pancras.
